When your life doesn't match what you thought you believed
Guy Sohie
At some point, life interrupts in a way you didn't plan for.
Illness. Loss. Failure. A relationship that broke. A future that disappeared.
And in the middle of it — or after — you find yourself asking questions you didn't expect to be asking.
Where was God in this? What does this mean? What am I supposed to do now?
You're not looking for easy answers. You've heard those. They didn't help.
What you're looking for is something that resonates with what you actually lived through. Truth that doesn't skip over the hard parts.
That's what I write about.
My name is Guy Sohie.
I've walked through paralysis, cancer, and other crises I would never have chosen. And what I've come to understand — slowly, reluctantly, over decades — is that those experiences weren't interruptions to my life.
They were revelations about it.
I write short pieces about what I've learned. About fear, crisis, suffering, and calling. About what disruption actually does — and what it might be showing you about your own life.
Not formulas. Not theology lessons. Just hard-won wisdom, offered honestly, illustrated by a life that didn't go according to plan.
If that resonates — subscribe below.
You'll receive new pieces when they're ready. No noise. No sales pitch. Just writing worth reading.
